Tragedy, A senseless loss of lives

I apologize as I have been missing for a while.
I thought I would take some time to focus on other parts of my life.
Yet the whole time, I've been thinking of how I would return and with what type of posting.
although it is sad, I'm here today to share my thoughts on the tragedy that has taken place in Newton, CT.
I ask that you comment if you read and post some words of support or encouragement to those enduring this tragedy.
To my knowledge I do know some one that lives, attends school or works in this community that has been devastated with this horrific tragedy. She is safe. No life is more valued than the next, yet it is especially difficult to hear of the loss of a child to senselessness. The taking of a child's life that is innocent of the tribulations of the world leaves us all speechless, angry, sad, heartbroken and wanting to feel the arms of our own children around us.
What happened today has left me very appreciative of what is felt as the inconvenient or interrupting drills that we practice with our students during the course of the school year. As it been stated, a smart thinking individual broadcast to the school, that they were in distress to enable the staff to take protective action and seize children into their rooms and lock doors and take cover.
I'm deeply saddened by the loss of so many young lives of children from kindergarten to 4th grade. There is nothing that will bring solace to these parents or the community. It doesn't help or remedy the situation to point blame to gun laws as each state exercises different laws. It's time to start looking at individuals that are making these purchases. I'm not getting into the politics or choices or the situation - not my issue today. As you read this, I'd like you to post a comment of support to these families that have all been tremendously impacted by the actions of an individual that made a conscious choice to take life into his hands and end it.
No child asked to be a part of his situation, but they were made the targets that will no longer have the opportunity to make their own choices. Keep those killed and those that witnessed in your prayers as you move forward. Every one will deal with this in your own way. I hope we are able to find peace and solace as we grieve for these families. ♥ RIP to each person that was killed in Newtown, CT.
