Local Resources

Although the entire month is known to be dedicated primarily to Breast Cancer Awareness, there are other vital issues that are also focused on this month. We want to encourage other public media images in all venues and markets to do the same.  All we can do is ask and get a response.  There is enough venues to get the word out about all of our issues and concerns to help raise awareness.
BCA is not intending to disrupt, take away from or ignore those issues.  Each of us is important and need to continue our fight to raise awareness to each of them and all of them.

Michael Baisden is giving his support on their show today and on Thursday by speaking with survivors and those that can provide information.  That information can be from your story to locations and local resources available to you in your community or close to it.

There are so many people that are under insured or not insured and they too need to have medical intervention, mammograms and physicals.
Start with a local non-profit in your community or any breast cancer non profit.  they are a vital resource and that is their purpose in the community.  If there is a local CDC (Center of Disease control, contact them.  they will typically have a list of resources that may be able to provide some assistance to you.
We want to eliminate any reason for not being examined or receiving preventative care and exams.

Ladies, I continue to implore and encourage you to get a mammogram, an annual physical and at the very least perform a complete self breast exam in the privacy of your home or wherever you may be.  This applies to men as well.  The myth has been extinguished - MEN get Breast Cancer.

We want to celebrate more success stories and diminish stories of diagnoses.
Don't wait or it could be too late.
